Jeremy Leslie leads the magCulture studio, dividing his time between designing, writing and curating. Recent projects include the development of the Writers in Residence series for Visual Editions, the design of online journal of ideas and culture Aeon, creative direction for Luxembourg publisher Maison Moderne and the launch and production of design magazine Fiera.
Jeremy has been designing magazines since the eighties, when he was art director at Blitz magazine. Since then he has worked on newspapers, weeklies, newsstand and customer titles. During the noughties he helped develop John Brown Publishing as a leader in content marketing, and as creative director worked on award-winning customer magazines for Virgin Atlantic, M-real and Waitrose.
He is a passionate advocate for editorial design, regularly contributing to the creative press and international design conferences on the subject – he is co-curator of QVED. His latest book ‘The Modern Magazine’ was published in 2013 and the magCulture blog is a key source of editorial design opinion and news.
